binary systems - design & consulting

Above all else, we believe in satisfied clients. Here's a sample of our work.

BirdOfParadox.com: handmade delights

BirdOfParadox needed an image as unorthodox as Deirdra Harris Glover's wire-work jewelry. Binary Systems created a comprehensive package for the cottage-industry business: BirdOfParadox.com features an online shop with storybook content as well as a gallery to showcase commissions and sold work. To complement the whimsical nature of her work, we created quirky print and packaging solutions for her one-of-a-kind pieces. All elements are brought together by a sunny color palette and graphics based on traditional tattoo art. The result is cheerful and edgy, much like the client herself.

Binary Systems Design & Consulting

Binary Systems passionately believes in web media as a powerful tool for communication, entertainment, commerce and even social change. For our own promotional materials, we started by creating a distinctive logo that references both the astronomical and technological definitions of a binary system. This distinctive logo readily translates from print to web black, from the bold strokes of the web site and stationery templates, to the jaunty crop of the business cards. "Business blues" meet fanciful swoops and chunky asterisks, embodying our philosophy that doing business shouldn't require losing your sense of humor.

Joyflow Yoga

Debi Lewis' business may be based in the lofty, esoteric teachings of the Enneagram, Vinyasa Yoga, and emotional anatomy, but Joyflow Yoga's website is firmly grounded in modern technology. Our treatment revolved around a logo the client drew and lettered herself, and most importantly, her love of all things purple. The ethereal color palette, along with playful but direct content captures the philosophy of lila vinyasa, what Debi interprets as divine flow/play. Binary Systems also maintained Debi's extensive mailing list and designed print materials for Joyflow, including her advertisments for V.I.P. Jackson and Jackson Free Press.

Ryan Hersha

Battle Creek City Commissioner Ryan Hersha is an inspiring teacher, as well as a dynamic leader in his community. Ryan needed a campaign site that reflected his youthful professionalism, as well as the beauty of Battle Creek itself. Binary Systems created a comprehensive solution for Ryan's online presence. Hersha writes,

Onceupon: Reclaimed Whimsy

Marianne Kirby is a wearer of many hats, and is slave to the wiles of Story. Her ever-expanding craft and jewelry business covers many genres: religious icons, recycled industrial jewelry, geek-chic, and an occasional cuddly monster. While Marianne's baubles often speak for themselves, Marianne still crafts delightful stories for each. Marianne needed business cards to reflect her diverse range of work, and we responded with a neutral palette and fairy-tale fonts. Marianne's website is also in development with Binary Systems.
